1. I chose hurricane Opal.

2.It was a category 4, but weakened to a categoery 3.

3.Its was first spotted as a tropical wave on Septembe 11, 1995. It moved into the Atlantic and the Caribbean and combined with a low pressure system on September 23. Florida reported winds of 84 mph and winds at 74 mph going as far as Georgia. The main impact from Opal came from the storm surge. The surge was responsible for most of the $3 billion in damage. Opal caused 9 deaths, 8 from falling trees and one from tornado. Opal was also responsible for 50 deaths in Mexico and Guatemala due to flooding.

4. 9 deaths in America, 50 in Mexico and Guatemala. $3 billion in damage.
